Ingredients:
1 bag frozen tater tots
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, diced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Start by preheating that oven to 375°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, ranch seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until smooth. Add in the shredded cheddar cheese and give it a good mix. Set this cheesy mixture aside for a second.
Now, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the diced onion until it’s nice and soft—about 3-4 minutes. Pour the sautéed onions into your mixing bowl with the ranch mix. Add in the crumbled bacon, and mix everything together until it’s perfectly blended.
In a greased 9×13 casserole dish, layer the frozen tater tots, then pour your cheesy ranch mixture over them. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
For that final touch, drizzle the BBQ sauce all over the top and bake for another 10 minutes. Pull it out and serve it up, maybe with a few extra crumbles of bacon on top—trust me, it’s worth it!
