Ingredients
For the Peach Filling:
• 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled & sliced
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ cup whole milk
• ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ¼ tsp salt
For the Topping:
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• ¾ cup water (boiling hot)
• 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions
1. Prepare peaches: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread sliced peaches evenly across the bottom.
2. Make batter: In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Pour this batter evenly over peaches.
3. Prepare topping: In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, boiling water, and butter. Stir until melted and smooth. Carefully pour topping over the batter (do not stir).
4. Bake: Place dish in the oven and bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
5. Serve: Let cool slightly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the ultimate Southern comfort dessert.
