Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveinedย 
1 cup all-purpose flourย 
1/2 cup cornmealย 
1 tsp garlic powderย 
1 tsp paprikaย 
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for spice)ย 
Salt and black pepper to tasteย 
1 cup buttermilkย 
Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:
Prepare Shrimp:

Rinse the shrimp and pat them dry with a paper towel. Soak the shrimp in buttermilk for about 15 minutes.ย 
Mix Coating:

In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.ย 
Coat Shrimp:

Remove each shrimp from the buttermilk and dredge it in the flour mixture. Lightly press to make sure the coating sticks well.ย 
Heat Oil:

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).ย 
Fry Shrimp:

Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until they are golden brown and crispy.ย 
Remove the shrimp from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.ย
