INGREDIENTS:
– 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
– 1/4 cup butter
– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 cups milk
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
3. Stir in the all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper until smooth and bubbly.
4. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens.

11. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
