Golden, crispy, and packed with flavor, these cabbage patties are an easy and delicious way to enjoy cabbage as a side or snack!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups grated cabbage
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon bacon grease (or butter/oil for frying)

Instructions:
Prepare the batter:
In a mixing bowl, combine the grated cabbage, chopped onion, flour, salt, and black pepper.
Add the lightly beaten eggs and mix well until everything is coated and holds together.
Heat the skillet:
Heat the bacon grease in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
Cook the patties:
Spoon the cabbage mixture into the skillet, forming small patties. Flatten slightly with the back of the spoon.
Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serve:
Drain on paper towels and serve hot. Enjoy as is or with a side of sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce!
