Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking dish with foil and lightly oil it.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
Rub the spice mixture generously all over the ribs.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Transfer the ribs to the prepared baking dish. Mix barbecue sauce, chicken broth, and apple cider vinegar together, then pour over the ribs.
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2 to 2½ hours, or until the ribs are fork-tender.
Remove the foil, brush with extra barbecue sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes until caramelized and sticky.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, baked beans, or coleslaw for the perfect Southern-style meal.
These country-style ribs are tender, juicy, and coated in smoky-sweet barbecue flavor — pure comfort food from the South!
