Ingredients:
– 1 jar (10 oz) maraschino cherries, well-drained and patted dry
– 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
– 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
– 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– Extra shredded coconut for rolling
– Optional: ½ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts

1. Drain maraschino cherries thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, shredded coconut, and optional chopped pecans or walnuts if using.
3. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
4. Gently fold in the maraschino cherries, trying to keep them whole as much as possible.
5. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
6. Roll each ball in extra shredded coconut until evenly coated.
7. Place the cherry balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow them to firm up before serving.
