Ingredients:
1 large Italian sub roll
6 slices salami
4 slices capicola (or ham)
4 slices pepperoni
4 slices provolone cheese
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup banana peppers
2 slices tomato
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Slice the Italian sub roll in half lengthwise.
Spread mayonnaise evenly on the inside of both halves.
Layer salami, capicola, pepperoni, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the roll.
In a small bowl, toss shredded lettuce, red onion, banana peppers, and tomato slices with olive oil, vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Pile the dressed veggies on top of the meat and cheese.
Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll and press gently.
Slice in half and serve immediately for the perfect Italian grinder experience.
