Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: ~12 twists
Ingredients:
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, parmesan, mozzarella, or a mix)
1 tbsp melted butter (or olive oil)
1–2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano/basil)
Optional: pinch of chili flakes or black pepper
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out folds.
Brush pastry with melted butter, then sprinkle garlic, cheese, and seasoning evenly.
Fold pastry in half (cheese inside), press down lightly.
Slice into strips (about 1-inch wide). Twist each strip a few times and place on the baking sheet.
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and puffy.
Cool slightly, then serve warm!
Variations:
Add pesto or sun-dried tomato paste before folding.
Use cinnamon sugar for a sweet twist version.
Swap cheese for goat cheese + honey drizzle after baking.
Let me know if you want a version with meat, vegan options, or different flavors!
Enjoy.
