Classic wafer cookies recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1/4 cup milk

1 egg white

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

Food coloring (optional – strawberry, chocolate, vanilla)

Instructions:

In a bowl, mix butter and sugar until creamy.

Add egg white and vanilla, mix well.

Add flour and salt gradually.

Pour in milk slowly until you get a smooth, pourable batter.

Divide the batter and add flavors/colors if you want.

Heat a wafer iron or non-stick pan (very thin layer).

Pour a small amount, spread thin, and cook until lightly golden.

Let wafers cool (they’ll get crisp).

Sandwich with cream filling if you like.

Simple Cream Filling (optional):

1/2 cup butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla or cocoa/strawberry powder

Mix until smooth, spread between wafers, chill, and cut.
