San Marzano Tomato Sauce Recipe
📝 Ingredients:
1 can (about 28 oz / 800g) San Marzano tomatoes, peeled
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt (to taste)
A small pinch of sugar (optional, if too acidic)
Black pepper (to taste)
Fresh basil leaves

Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the garlic and sauté gently until fragrant (do not brown it).
Add the San Marzano tomatoes and crush them with a fork or spoon (leave slightly chunky if preferred).
Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer for 15–20 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add fresh basil at the end, stir, and remove from heat.
