Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

For the Fries:

3 cups frozen French fries

Olive oil spray

Salt to taste

For the Chili Topping:

½ lb ground beef (or vegan ground alternative)

½ small onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tbsp tomato paste

½ cup crushed tomatoes or sauce

½ tsp chili powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

Salt & pepper to taste

For Topping:

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or plant-based cheese)

Optional: chopped parsley, jalapeños, sour cream

Instructions:

1. Air Fry the Fries:

Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Spread fries in the air fryer basket.

Lightly spray with oil and season with salt.

Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway until golden and crisp.

2. Prepare the Chili:

In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.

Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté 2–3 minutes.

Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, and seasonings.

Simmer for 5–8 minutes until thickened. Set aside.

3. Assemble the Dish:

In an air fryer-safe tray or small baking dish, layer the cooked fries.

Spoon warm chili over the fries.

Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheddar cheese.

4. Melt the Cheese (Air Fry Again):

Place the loaded fries back into the air fryer at 350°F (175°C).

Cook for 3–5 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

5. Serve Hot:

Top with optional parsley, jalapeños, or sour cream.

Serve immediately for the best crispy-cheesy bite!
