Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper (optional for heat)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Cooked pasta or rice, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Season the shrimp:
Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until fully coated.
Cook the shrimp:
Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes per side, until blackened and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Make the sauce:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add paprika, crushed red pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combine:
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss in the sauce. Let simmer for another 2 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Serve:
Garnish with parsley and serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
