Ingredients
3 cups frozen baby lima beans
4 cups water or chicken broth
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon sugar (optional, Southern touch)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions
Bring water or chicken broth to a boil in a medium pot.
Add baby lima beans, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and sugar if using.
Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, until beans are tender.
Drain most of the liquid, leaving just a little at the bottom.
Add butter and stir until melted and beans are glossy and coated.
Taste and adjust seasoning.
Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm as a classic Southern side.
