Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup Fireball whiskey
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon extract (optional)
Red gel food coloring
White gel food coloring
Powdered sugar for dusting
Silicone round candy molds

Instructions:
Dust the silicone molds lightly with powdered sugar.
In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and Fireball whiskey.
Cook over medium heat until the sugar has fully dissolved.
Increase heat to medium-high and cook until the mixture reaches 300ยฐF (149ยฐC), the hard crack stage.
Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and cinnamon extract.
Divide the mixture into two heat-safe bowls.
Color one portion red and leave the other portion clear/white.
Using a spoon, pour alternating lines of red and clear syrup into the molds to create candy cane stripes.
Let the candies cool for 20โ€“30 minutes until fully hardened.
Remove from molds and dust lightly with powdered sugar.
Store in an airtight container.
