Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions:
Prepare the Beef: Toss the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and a pinch of black pepper. Set aside.
Cook Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Stir-fry beef for 2–3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Cook Vegetables: Add the remaining oil to the skillet. Stir-fry onion, bell peppers, garlic, and ginger for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
Combine & Sauce: Return beef to the skillet. Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and the cornstarch mixture. Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and beef is cooked through.
Serve: Serve hot over cooked rice. Adjust seasoning with additional black pepper if desired.
