 Ingredients:

Main:

1 lb large shrimp (peeled & deveined)

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 celery stalk, diced

1 tsp Cajun seasoning (more to taste)

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt & pepper to taste

Liquids & Base:

2 cups seafood or chicken broth

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup whole milk

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp all-purpose flour (for thickening)

Finishing Touch:

Chopped parsley

Extra black pepper

 Instructions:

1. Sauté Base Veggies:
In a large pot, melt butter with olive oil. Sauté onion, celery, and garlic until translucent.

2. Spice It Up:
Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the spices bloom for 1 minute.

3. Thicken:
Sprinkle in the flour and stir for another minute to form a roux-like base.

4. Add Liquids:
Slowly whisk in the broth, then pour in the heavy cream and milk. Bring to a simmer.

5. Cook Shrimp:
Add shrimp and cook for 5–7 minutes, until shrimp are opaque and pink. Stir in Parmesan.

6. Finish:
Simmer until thick and creamy (another 5 minutes), then garnish with chopped parsley and extra cracked black pepper.
