Fall-apart chuck roast cooked with butter, pepperoncini, and ranch — the most viral Southern roast ever.
Ingredients
3–4 lb chuck roast
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 packet au jus gravy mix
1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
5–6 pepperoncini peppers
Optional: a splash of pepperoncini juice
Instructions
Place the chuck roast in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus mix evenly over the top.
Add the stick of butter right on top of the roast.
Place pepperoncini peppers around the meat, adding a little juice if you like extra tang.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or until the roast is tender and falling apart.
Shred the meat with two forks, mix with the juices, and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Enjoy this melt-in-your-mouth Southern classic!
