Ingredients:

 

1 lb smoked turkey sausage (or any sausage you prefer), sliced

 

2 cups instant rice

 

2 bell peppers (any color), sliced

 

½ yellow onion, sliced• 24 oz pasta sauce

 

2 cups beef broth

 

10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

 

2 tbsp olive oil

 

1 tsp garlic powder

 

1 tsp onion powder

 

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 Sauté the Veggies:

 

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Cook for about 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften.

 

2 Brown the Sausage:

 

Add the sliced smoked sausage to the skillet. Sauté until it’s nicely browned and heated through.

3️⃣. Add Sauce & Rice:

 

Stir in the pasta sauce, diced tomatoes with green chilies, instant rice, and beef broth.

 

4️⃣. Season:

 

Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

 

5️⃣. Simmer:

 

Bring the mixture to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer according to the rice package directions—until the rice is fully cooked and the sauce is thickened.

 

6️⃣. Serve:

 

Once everything is hot, saucy, and the rice is tender, spoon onto plates and enjoy warm!
