Instructions
In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Pour in the eggs and gently scramble until soft and fluffy. Remove from heat.
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Place one slice, butter side down, in the skillet.
Add 1–2 slices of cheese, then pile the scrambled eggs on top, followed by another slice of cheese.
Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
